Returns and cancelling

Kits and class places are not the same thing in law, so they are set out separately.

Kits

You have 14 days from the day a kit arrives to change your mind, and another 14 to send it back. The refund goes to the card you paid with, within 14 days of the kit arriving back.

It needs to come back unused and complete, with any seals unbroken. You are welcome to open the box and look at what is in it — a kit that has been started cannot go back on the shelf, and the refund can be reduced to reflect that.

Unless the kit is faulty or is not what you ordered, the cost of sending it back is yours. Get a proof of postage: until it arrives back it is still your responsibility, and a free proof of postage from the Post Office is what proves you sent it.

Classes

A class is booked for a particular date, and the automatic 14-day cancellation right that applies to goods does not apply to it. That is the law rather than a shop policy — but it is not the whole story, because nobody wants your money for a class you cannot get to.

If you cannot make it, say so as early as you can. Materials get bought and places get turned away, so how much can be done depends on how much notice there is. In practice a place can very often be moved to the next one, and that is usually the easiest answer for everybody.

Classes run at more than one venue, so if the one you booked does not suit, you can often transfer to a different venue running the same class that month instead — just let us know.

If a class is cancelled or moved at our end, you get the choice of a place on the next one or a full refund, including anything you paid towards it.

Faulty, or not what you ordered

If a kit arrives damaged, incomplete or is simply not what you ordered, none of the above applies — that is not a change of mind. Send a message with your order reference and a photograph and it will be put right: a replacement or a full refund including postage both ways. This right lasts far longer than 14 days.

The return address is on the note in your parcel and is confirmed when you tell us a kit is coming back. Please do not send anything back before saying it is coming — an unexpected parcel with no reference in it is very hard to match to an order.
